Strategy raises $1.25 billion through stock sales, buys 13,627 bitcoin

Strategy Inc (NASDAQ: MSTR) sold shares worth $1.25 billion through its at-the-market offering program during the week ending January 11, 2026, according to a company announcement.

The company sold 6.8 million shares of Class A common stock, generating $1.13 billion in net proceeds. Strategy also sold 1.2 million shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock for $119.1 million in net proceeds.

Strategy used the proceeds to purchase 13,627 bitcoin at an average price of $91,519 per coin, spending $1.25 billion including fees and expenses. The purchases brought the company's total bitcoin holdings to 687,410 coins with an aggregate purchase price of $51.8 billion and an average cost of $75,353 per bitcoin.

As of January 11, 2026, Strategy had $10.3 billion available for additional common stock issuance under its ATM program. The company also maintains capacity to issue preferred stock across multiple series, with $3.9 billion available for Variable Rate Series A shares, $20.3 billion for 8.00% Series A Strike Preferred Stock, $4.0 billion for 10.00% Series A Stride Preferred Stock, and $1.6 billion for 10.00% Series A Strife Preferred Stock.

The bitcoin acquisitions were funded entirely through the stock sales under the company's at-the-market program, the company stated in its announcement.
