Strategy doubles digital credit securities repurchase program to $2B

Strategy (NASDAQ: MSTR) announced on September 8, 2026, that its board of directors approved an increase in the authorized aggregate purchase price under its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program from $1.0 billion to $2.0 billion, inclusive of commissions, fees, expenses, and any repurchases made to date.
During the period from August 31 to September 7, 2026, Strategy repurchased 1,810,885 shares of STRC Stock (Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock) for an aggregate purchase price of $176.3 million. No shares of STRF, STRK, STRD, or MSTR Stock were repurchased during the same period.
As of September 7, 2026, $1.19 billion remained available under the Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program, and $1.0 billion remained available under Strategy's MSTR Stock repurchase program.
Strategy also reported that it did not sell any shares under its at-the-market offering program and did not purchase or sell any bitcoin during the August 31 to September 7, 2026 period. The company holds approximately 845,050 bitcoin acquired at an aggregate purchase price of $63.73 billion, or an average of approximately $75,412 per bitcoin, inclusive of fees and expenses.
As of September 7, 2026, Strategy's USD Reserve stood at $5.10 billion and its USD Cash balance was $1.44 billion. The $176.3 million used to fund the STRC Stock repurchases was drawn from USD Cash.
