Hyperscale Data deploys 4,092 bitcoin miners in expansion push
Hyperscale Data Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) announced it has received and is deploying 4,092 Bitmain S21+ and S21 Pro Antminers over the coming weeks, according to a company press release.
The artificial intelligence data center company said the deployment will increase the scale of its bitcoin mining operations and expects higher efficiency and bitcoin production upon completion.
The expansion supports the company's digital asset treasury strategy to acquire $100 million of bitcoin through mining operations and open market purchases. Hyperscale Data operates AI compute clusters at its Michigan data center alongside bitcoin mining operations.
"We are buying bitcoin on top of our mining operations, allowing us to accumulate bitcoin through a disciplined strategy and establish a long-term foundation of bitcoin to strengthen the Company's balance sheet," said Milton Todd Ault III, executive chairman.
Chief Executive Officer Will Horne stated the Michigan data center supports both digital asset mining and AI computing operations.
Through subsidiary Sentinum Inc., Hyperscale Data owns and operates a data center for digital asset mining and provides colocation and hosting services. The company's other subsidiary, Ault Capital Group Inc., is a holding company pursuing acquisitions of businesses and technologies.
Hyperscale Data expects to divest ACG in the second quarter of 2026. The company issued one million shares of Series F Exchangeable Preferred Stock to common stockholders and Series C Preferred Stock holders on December 23, 2024.
