Crypto.com announced a partnership with IP Strategy (NASDAQ: IPST) to provide custody, trading, and staking services for the company's treasury reserve of 52.5 million $IP tokens valued at over $230 million.
IP Strategy becomes the first NASDAQ-listed company to hold $IP tokens as its primary reserve asset. The company provides public market investors with exposure to what it describes as an $80 trillion programmable intellectual property economy.
Under the partnership, Crypto.com will offer execution, custody, over-the-counter trading, and staking services for IP Strategy's digital asset treasury operations. The announcement follows IP Strategy's August PIPE financing.
"As companies embrace digital assets as part of their long-term treasury strategy, it's essential they have access to secure, scalable infrastructure," said Eric Anziani, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com.
IP Strategy operates a validator for the Story Protocol and holds $IP tokens that provide participation in the Story ecosystem, which enables on-chain registration, licensing, and monetization of intellectual property.
The $IP token operates on Story, described as an AI-native blockchain network that launched its mainnet in February 2025. Story received $136 million in funding from investors including a16z crypto, Polychain Capital, and Samsung Ventures.
Heritage Distilling Holding Company, Inc. serves as the registered corporate name of IP Strategy. The company's treasury strategy involves maintaining digital assets alongside traditional validator operations in the intellectual property tokenization space.
