Bitcoin rises 6.8% to $46,943

(Reuters) - Bitcoin rose 6.8% to $46,943 at 21:11 GMT on Monday, adding $2,999 to its previous close.
Bitcoin, the world's biggest and best-known cryptocurrency, is up 13.2% from the year's low of $41,454 on Jan. 3.
Ether, the coin linked to the ethereum blockchain network, rose 5% to $2,338.6 on Monday, adding $115.8 to its previous close.
