BNY Mellon (NYSE: BK) explores tokenized deposits - Bloomberg
- The bank is looking at ways to enable clients to make payments using blockchain.
- The project is part of the bank’s broader work to modernize infrastructure which includes scaling real-time, instant and cross-border payments.
- Tokenized deposits could help “banks overcome legacy technology constraints, making it easier to move deposits and payments across their own ecosystems – and eventually, across the broader market as standards mature," the bank's executive said.
