January 13, 2012 9:08 AM EST
US stocks have just opened lower following reports from Dow Jones News that the downgrade of several Eurozone countries could be imminent.

On December 5, S&P placed 15 Eurozone counties on watch for potential downgrades.

S&P declined to comment on the downgrades, which are expected as soon as today.

Dow Jones currently down about 100 points, Nasdaq down nearly 19 points, and the S&P 500 is down 10 points.

Disappointing earnings from JPMorgan (NYSE: JPM) is also contributing to morning weakness in stocks.
