Moody's says the combination agreement of RockTenn Company (NYSE: RKT)(Rock-Tenn, Baa3 stable) and MeadWestvaco Corporation (NYSE: MWV)(Baa3 stable) to create a leading paper packaging company by mid-2015 is credit positive because the combined company will become larger and more diversified than either existing company, with only a modest increase in leverage.
