Moody's Lowers Japan's Debt Outlook to Negative
Moody's lowered the rating outlook Japan's Aa2 debt rating from stable to negative.
Moody's said, "The rating action was prompted by heightened concern that economic and fiscal policies may not prove strong enough to achieve the government’s deficit reduction target and contain the inexorable rise in debt."
Last month, Standard & Poor's downgraded Japan from double-A to to double-A-minus.
