Fitch Revises Outlook on Japan to Negative
Earlier, Fitch revised its outlook on Japan from stable to negative.
The rating agency cited the mounting cost of the earthquake and nuclear disaster, which puts added strain on a country already with financial issues.
"Japan's sovereign credit-worthiness is under negative pressure from rising government indebtedness," said Andrew Colquhoun, head of Fitch's Asia-Pacific Sovereigns team in a statement.
