3M's (MMM) Acquisition of Capital Safety is Credit-Positive Development - Moody's

Moody's Investors Service said 3M Co. (NYSE: MMM) $2.5 billion acquisition of fall protection equipment manufacturer Capital Safety (B2 stable) is credit positive in view of its compelling strategic rationale; Capital Safety's attractive levels of profitability; safety regulations that underpin product demand; and the limited adverse impact on 3M Company's credit metrics. The ratings and ratings outlook of 3M Company (Aa3/P-1, negative) are unaffected.
