JFB Construction Holdings (NASDAQ: JFB) announced that XTEND has completed its first deployment of an XOS-powered AtlasROVER ground robot to a customer in the Asia-Pacific region, marking the first such deployment since XTEND's acquisition of Atlas.
The deployment extends XTEND's XOS operating system, previously used in aerial robotic systems, into the ground robotics domain. XOS is described by the company as a hardware-agnostic operating system for human-guided autonomy, designed to provide common AI capabilities and operator workflows across different robotic platforms.
AtlasROVER is a ground robotic platform built to operate in complex environments and support multiple mission payloads.
"This is an important step in demonstrating the strategy behind XOS," said Aviv Shapira, CEO and co-founder of XTEND. "Our goal is not to build isolated robotic products, but to create a common software layer that can extend across air, ground and ultimately maritime systems. Bringing AtlasROVER into the XOS ecosystem moves us closer to a future where different robotic platforms can work together, while humans remain in control of the decisions that matter."
According to the press release, XTEND's stated strategy is to build a unified software architecture spanning air, ground, and maritime robotic systems. The company has not disclosed the identity of the Asia-Pacific customer or the financial terms of the deployment.
JFB Construction Holdings, currently a real estate development and construction company, has filed a Form S-4 registration statement with the SEC in connection with a proposed business combination with XTEND. The combined company is expected to list securities under the ticker symbol "XTND," though timing and completion of the transaction remain subject to conditions.
