Wikitree adopts Taboola's DeeperDive AI answer engine

July 1, 2026 9:00 AM EDT

Taboola (NASDAQ: TBLA) announced that Wikitree has selected DeeperDive, a generative AI answer engine, to be deployed directly on the Wikitree website, according to a press release statement.

DeeperDive allows readers to ask questions about topics covered on a publisher's site and receive AI-generated answers sourced from that publisher's own content. The tool also surfaces related articles and prompts follow-up questions to encourage further content exploration.

Under the agreement, Wikitree aims to increase reader engagement and open additional revenue streams. DeeperDive is designed to insert high-intent advertisements into AI-powered results pages as a potential monetization channel for publishers.

"We are now taking a giant leap forward with Taboola and DeeperDive. For the first time, our readers can have conversations with our news directly, discovering more about topics they care about, using an innovative generative AI experience," said Dong-Ki Lee, CEO of Wikitree.

Adam Singolda, CEO and Founder of Taboola, said: "Publishers who adopt DeeperDive aren't just keeping up with the GenAI revolution, they're leading it, on their terms. We're creating a new user habit, one where readers lean in, ask follow-up questions, and stay to explore."

Taboola describes DeeperDive as part of its broader agentic product roadmap. The company states it reaches approximately 600 million daily active users across its publisher network, which includes NBC News and Yahoo.
