WiMi Hologram Cloud Inc. (NASDAQ: WIMI) announced the development of a fault-tolerant quantum computing technology based on multi-hypercube codes. The technology aims to improve quantum encoding rates while maintaining fault-tolerant capabilities through a cascaded quantum error-detection code system.
The multi-hypercube code system uses geometric mapping to establish connections between hypercube dimensions, allowing parallel execution of logical gate operations across multiple modules. Each hypercube module can independently perform local error detection and participate in higher-level logical operations.
The company stated that traditional high-rate quantum codes face challenges with parallelizing logical gate operations due to strong coupling between operations. The multi-hypercube approach restricts logical operations to specific hypercube regions, enabling simultaneous execution of multiple logical gates.
WiMi has developed specialized quantum decoders and encoders for the system. The decoder uses hierarchical local decoding, performing error detection within local hypercubes before handling cross-module error propagation. The encoder optimizes logical quantum state loading through a pipelined approach utilizing the code's modular structure.
According to the company's simulations, the technology maintains stable logical error rate decreases under circuit-level random noise environments. The system can adapt to various quantum chip layouts including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and higher-dimensional configurations.
The technology has completed theoretical modeling, structural verification, and noise simulation analysis. WiMi plans to optimize the hypercube cascading structure and conduct experimental verification in real quantum hardware environments. The company also intends to study integration mechanisms with other quantum error correction codes including quantum low-density parity-check codes, surface codes, and topological quantum codes.
