WiMi Hologram Cloud Inc. (NASDAQ: WIMI) announced the development of Quantum Semi-Supervised Learning technology that uses quantum computing to address data limitations in machine learning applications.

The Beijing-based holographic augmented reality technology provider stated the new framework combines small amounts of labeled data with large volumes of unlabeled data for model training. The company developed three core components: a quantum matrix product estimation algorithm, a quantum self-training algorithm, and a quantum semi-supervised K-means clustering algorithm.

The quantum matrix product estimation algorithm accelerates matrix operations using quantum superposition and interference effects. WiMi's quantum self-training algorithm employs a "Propagation Nearest Neighbor Classifier" that processes unlabeled data through quantum computing properties. The quantum semi-supervised K-means clustering algorithm calculates cluster center positions and accelerates convergence using quantum interference.

According to the company's press release, the framework integrates quantum algorithms with classical machine learning methods. Quantum algorithms handle data processing while classical algorithms perform model optimization based on the processed data.

WiMi reported that the quantum algorithms demonstrate lower time complexity compared to classical methods when processing large-scale datasets. The company stated the technology enables model training and inference completion within reduced timeframes for massive data scenarios.

The framework addresses two challenges in classical machine learning: limited labeled data availability and computational resource constraints. The company indicated the technology leverages quantum computing's parallel processing capabilities to handle larger data volumes.

WiMi operates as a holographic cloud technical solution provider focusing on holographic AR automotive applications, 3D holographic pulse LiDAR technology, and holographic semiconductor development.
