WeightWatchers names Alejandro Bethlen as international chief

WW International Inc. (NASDAQ: WW) appointed Alejandro Bethlen as Executive Vice President, International, effective immediately. Bethlen will oversee the company's business operations outside the United States and drive international growth initiatives.
Bethlen joins WeightWatchers from Zooplus SE, Europe's largest online pet platform, where he served as Chief Merchandising Officer and oversaw more than €2 billion in vendor negotiations across 30 countries. He previously served as CEO of The Bouqs Company, a direct-to-consumer floral e-commerce brand, and held senior leadership roles at Amazon across Europe and the United States for nearly a decade, including as General Manager of Amazon Flex International.
"Alejandro's international experience and commercial leadership make him uniquely suited to advance our growth outside the U.S.," said Tara Comonte, CEO of WeightWatchers, according to the company's statement.
The appointment is part of WeightWatchers' recent executive team expansion. The company has added several senior leaders including Dr. Kim Boyd as Chief Medical Officer, Uta Knablein as Chief Product Officer, and Julie Rice as Chief Experience Officer. WeightWatchers also added Mike Mason to its Board of Directors, a healthcare executive who previously spent more than 30 years at Eli Lilly.
WeightWatchers operates in international markets through digital and in-person programs, supported by coaches and local teams. The company serves millions of members globally through its nutrition program, digital tools, and community support services.
