TOMI Environmental Solutions Inc. (NASDAQ: TOMZ) announced expansion of its operations across Canada through recent deployments at healthcare and research facilities, according to a company statement.
The Frederick, Maryland-based disinfection technology company secured placements at Canada's largest health research organization, which integrated SteraMist technology into its special pathogens unit. TOMI also completed deployments at a Nova Scotia trauma center and a research university.
The company's Canadian distribution partner increased equipment inventory to support direct-to-customer sales across Canadian provinces. TOMI stated it has submitted competitive bids for potential purchases during the current fiscal year.
"Our continued expansion in Canada reflects a shift toward more advanced, automated decontamination solutions across regulated healthcare and research environments," said Elissa J. Shane, Chief Operating Officer at TOMI Environmental Solutions.
TOMI manufactures disinfection equipment using Binary Ionization Technology, which creates ionized hydrogen peroxide fog for surface disinfection. The technology was developed under a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency grant from the U.S. Department of Defense.
The company serves commercial facilities including hospitals, cruise ships, office buildings, schools, restaurants, and food processing facilities through its SteraMist brand products.
