Stitch Fix (NASDAQ: SFIX) launched Stitch Fix Vision, a beta version of an artificial intelligence-powered style visualization tool that creates personalized images of clients wearing different outfits.
The tool uses generative artificial intelligence to show clients their likeness styled in various clothing combinations based on their style preferences and fashion trends. Clients upload a selfie and full-length photo through the Stitch Fix mobile app to access the feature.
Vision creates images of clients in different environments, from city streets to beach locations, to help visualize how outfits might look in various settings. The generated images are shoppable, allowing clients to purchase items directly or request them for their next styling box. Images can be saved or shared on social media platforms.
"We have billions of data points on our clients' fit and style preferences, and we are using these insights, as well as the latest in GenAI technology, our assortment of leading brands and the expertise of our Stylists, to deliver ultra-personalization at scale," said Matt Baer, CEO of Stitch Fix.
The company also introduced Stylist Connect, a two-way communication platform available in the iOS app that allows clients to chat directly with stylists for style advice and outfit recommendations. Stylists can proactively reach out to clients with new style suggestions and begin building future styling selections.
Stitch Fix rolled out Family Accounts, enabling clients to use the styling service for multiple family members from one account. The company added new holiday-themed styling options and expanded its brand offerings to include Favorite Daughter, Alex Mill, Pendleton, Madewell, Kate Spade accessories, and Frye footwear.
The San Francisco-based personal styling service was founded in 2011 and uses stylists combined with AI algorithms to recommend clothing from exclusive and national brands.
