Southwest Airlines (LUV) Announces Offering of Notes

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) (the "Company") today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of two series of senior notes (collectively, the "Notes"), with expected maturities in 2023 and 2025.

The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering to repay a portion of the outstanding borrowings under its Amended and Restated 364-Day Credit Agreement.

BofA Securities, BNP Paribas, Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are acting as joint lead book-running managers for the offering. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and Wells Fargo Securities are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. A shelf registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") and has become effective. The offering may be made only by means of a prospectus supplement and an accompanying base prospectus.
