SkyWater Technology Inc. (NASDAQ: SKYT) stockholders approved the company's merger agreement with IonQ Inc. at a special meeting, the semiconductor foundry announced.
The transaction involves IonQ's acquisition of SkyWater Technology and is expected to close in the second or third quarter of 2026. The deal remains subject to required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
SkyWater will file the final voting results in a Current Report on Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
SkyWater describes itself as a U.S.-based semiconductor foundry that serves commercial customers and federal defense programs. The company operates facilities in Minnesota, Florida, and Texas, focusing on foundational nodes and advanced packaging.
