SLB (NYSE: SLB) announced it has completed the acquisition of RESMAN Energy Technology from Nordic Capital. The transaction was advised by Pickering Energy Partners, which served as financial advisor to Nordic Capital.
RESMAN provides wireless reservoir surveillance and tracer solutions for the energy industry. The company's chemical tracers track water, gas, oil and CO2 movement within reservoirs and wells, with detection capabilities at parts per trillion levels.
The technology enables operators to monitor reservoir flow across oil and gas, CO2 storage and geothermal applications. RESMAN's solutions are designed to provide data for well performance and reservoir monitoring without operational disruption.
During Nordic Capital's ownership, RESMAN expanded from a single-product company to offering multiple products across different business lines, including technology for carbon monitoring and geothermal wells.
"We believe SLB represents an ideal partner for Resman as it embarks on its next phase of growth across different sectors and geographies," said Diego Kuschnir, Managing Director at Pickering Energy Partners.
The acquisition positions SLB to integrate RESMAN's tracer technology into its existing portfolio of energy services and solutions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed in the announcement.
