SKYX Platforms Corp. (NASDAQ: SKYX) completed a technology demonstration during a renovation at a Marriott SpringHill Suites Hotel owned by the Shaner Group, according to a company statement.
The demonstration included SKYX's plug-and-play technologies such as ceiling lighting, recessed lights, downlights, wall lights, exit and emergency lights, and plug-in LED backlight mirrors. The company stated the demonstration validated safety aspects, time savings, and cost savings during the hotel renovation process.
Major hotel chains typically require hotels to conduct full renovations every seven years, the company noted. SKYX expects its technologies to be used in additional Marriott renovations and other hotel brands.
"We are happy to report that we have successfully demonstrated our technology's ability to provide significant hotel safety, time savings and cost savings during hotel renovation and buildouts," said Rani Kohen, founder and executive chairman of SKYX Platforms.
Lance Shaner, founder of the Shaner Hotel Group, said the company recognized SKYX's value in time saving, cost saving, and safety during the hotel renovation. Shaner disclosed he is a long-term investor in SKYX.
SKYX Platforms Corp. holds over 100 pending and issued patents globally and operates over 60 lighting and home décor websites. The Miami-based company develops platform technologies for homes and buildings.
