Roadzen's DrivebuddyAI receives EU safety regulation compliance

October 7, 2025 9:02 AM EDT

Roadzen Inc. (NASDAQ: RDZN) announced that its DrivebuddyAI platform has received validation for compliance with the European Union General Safety Regulation 2144 from testing laboratory Applus IDIADA in Barcelona, Spain.

The validation makes DrivebuddyAI the only driver monitoring system certified under both Indian AIS-184 and European safety standards, according to the company's statement. The EU compliance covers Advanced Driver Distraction Warning and Driver Drowsiness & Attention Warning requirements, which will become mandatory for new vehicles under EU NCAP 2026 protocols beginning July 2026.

DrivebuddyAI's dataset has grown to 3.5 billion kilometers of real-world driving data, nearly doubling in four months. The company reports the platform has demonstrated a 70% reduction in accidents based on this data.

The testing was conducted by Applus IDIADA in both passenger cars and trucks under multiple conditions. The validation establishes the platform's readiness for integration with original equipment manufacturers and fleet operators across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Roadzen will demonstrate DrivebuddyAI at InCabin Europe 2025 from October 7-9 in Barcelona at booth C210. The event brings together automotive executives, engineers, and decision-makers from OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

"We're proud to be the only company now ready for both European and Indian standards, independently validated by leading labs for two of the most important automotive markets in the world," said Nisarg Pandya, Head of Roadzen's DrivebuddyAI.

Roadzen, headquartered in Burlingame, California, develops artificial intelligence technology for auto insurance and mobility applications. The company has 323 employees across offices in the United States, United Kingdom, and India.
