ReElement Technologies Corporation, a portfolio company of American Resources Corporation (NASDAQ: AREC), announced a 141% expansion of its Noblesville critical mineral refining facility. The expansion increases the facility's footprint to over 16,500 square feet and provides refining capacity of more than 200 metric tons per year of separated defense elements and rare earth oxides with purity levels ranging from 99.9% to 99.999%.

The expanded facility will produce defense minerals including yttrium, germanium, gadolinium, gallium, terbium, samarium, dysprosium, and antimony, as well as magnet elements neodymium and praseodymium. ReElement has received nine additional separation columns and other equipment, including an ICP-MS machine, to support commercial production while maintaining daily operations.

The company is simultaneously developing its Marion Supersite facility, with more than 60% of equipment for the initial growth phase ordered, identified, or being installed. The Marion facility is designed to provide large-scale refining capacity for magnet-grade rare earths, battery materials, antimony, and additional defense elements.

"This expansion of our Noblesville facility showcases the flexibility and scalability of our refining platform and positions us to lead in meeting the growing yet complex demands of both the defense and commercial markets," said Jeff Peterson, COO of ReElement Technologies.

ReElement utilizes patented chromatography methods for rare earth element separation, processing diverse feedstocks including ores, recycled magnets, and manufacturing waste. The company states its process offers greater efficiency and reduced waste compared to traditional methods.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
