ROC wins $5.1M federal biometric identification contract

Rank One Computing Corporation (Nasdaq: ROC), known as ROC, announced it has secured a five-year contract valued at up to $5.1 million to provide its automated biometric identification system, known as ROC ABIS, to a federal national security program.

The contract carries $2.5 million in committed revenue, with the remaining value subject to the exercise of options, applicable funding, and other contract terms. Under the agreement, ROC will deliver its multimodal ABIS platform, implementation services, and ongoing system support.

"This competitively awarded contract represents a definitive inflection point for ROC and the broader U.S. biometrics industry," said CEO B. Scott Swann. "It signals a transition in the government agency market, which has historically been powered by foreign-AI, and drives adoption by these mission-critical systems to ROC's technology, built in America."

The Denver-based company said the award marks its entry into the federal ABIS market as a full-platform provider, expanding beyond its existing biometric algorithm products. ROC said the contract was competitively awarded by a federal customer evaluating options for its operational environment.

Swann added that the win reflects progress toward the company's stated goal of pursuing larger, longer-duration contracts. Future contract value remains contingent on option exercises and funding availability, according to the company's statement.
