Quantum X Labs launches 50-qubit neutral-atom quantum computer

May 28, 2026 8:33 AM EDT

Quantum X Labs Inc. (NASDAQ: QXL) announced the launch of its 50-qubit neutral-atom quantum computing platform on May 28. The Tel Aviv-based company stated the platform uses proprietary atom cooling technology combined with laser cooling and optical tweezer arrays.

The platform features what the company describes as dynamically reconfigurable optical tweezer arrays that enable loading of qubit registers and support for Rydberg-mediated two-qubit gates. The system is designed to integrate with the company's pending patented deep transformer decoder technology for error correction.

Quantum X Labs stated it aims to reach thousands of qubits by the end of the first half of 2027. The company plans to integrate its AI-based error correction system with the neutral-atom control stack, using what it calls syndrome-guided decoding to process gate outputs.

"Our goal is to continue scaling physical qubit counts while building a modular platform with integrated error correction architecture," said Prof. Nir Sharon, the company's Chief Quantum Technology Scientist. "This 50+ qubit platform is a vital milestone. It gives us the physical environment necessary to implement our proprietary AI-driven error correction."

The company indicated the platform is designed to support applications in aerospace, defense, clinical trials, process optimization, nuclear energy, pharmaceuticals, and quantum cybersecurity. Quantum X Labs operates subsidiaries including Quantum X Labs Ltd., which develops quantum algorithms, Gix Media for digital advertising solutions, and Metagramm for grammatical error correction software.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
