Quantum Cyber secures exclusive license for quantum antenna technology
Quantum Cyber N.V. (NASDAQ: QUCY) announced it executed an intellectual property license agreement with Project LightShift, Inc. on June 11. The agreement grants Quantum Cyber exclusive worldwide rights to patent-protected quantum photonic array technology for quantum antenna systems in unmanned aerial vehicles and drone platforms used in defense applications.
The quantum antenna technology was developed by Wolf Kohn, Chief Scientist of Project LightShift. The system features nano multi-spectrum lenses paired with controllable diode lasers that transmit and receive multi-frequency photonic signals. The lenses operate in a coordinated configuration using Near Field Quantum electrodynamics principles.
"The agreement we executed today is the transaction that makes the quantum layer of our platform real," said David Lazar, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Cyber. "We have a signed, definitive license agreement, an exclusive position backed by a verified patent chain."
Nadab Akhtar, Chief Executive Officer of Project LightShift, said the quantum antenna technology provides defense drones with secure, frequency-agile sensing and communications for contested environments.
The company stated the Trump Administration is seeking approximately $55 billion for drone and autonomous warfare programs in fiscal year 2027. The global counter-UAS market is projected to grow from $3.1 billion to $10.6 billion by 2030, according to Grand View Research data cited in the announcement.
Quantum Cyber plans to file a Current Report on Form 8-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission regarding the agreement. The company describes itself as developing an AI-powered autonomous defense platform that integrates drone warfare, counter-UAS, and other defense technologies.
