Perspective Therapeutics names new chief science officer

Perspective Therapeutics (NYSE American: CATX) announced the appointment of Paul Lyne, Ph.D., as Chief Science Officer, replacing co-founder Michael K. Schultz, Ph.D., who has transitioned to the role of Senior Scientific Advisor & Co-Founder as part of a planned move toward retirement.

Dr. Lyne brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotechnology experience, including roles in target discovery, drug discovery, early clinical development, and portfolio strategy. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Head of Oncology Research at Merck KGaA, where he led a global research organization covering cancer cell signaling, immuno-oncology, and antibody-drug conjugates. During his career, he has contributed to advancing more than 30 oncology programs into clinical development and helped bring multiple cancer medicines to approval.

Dr. Schultz co-founded Perspective Therapeutics alongside Frances Johnson and served as Chief Science Officer for an extended period. In his new advisory role, he is expected to continue contributing to the company's early pipeline and manufacturing efforts.

"I am very pleased to join Perspective at such an important time in the Company's evolution," Dr. Lyne said in a statement included in the press release.

Perspective Therapeutics describes itself as a radiopharmaceutical development company focused on cancer treatments.
