Perpetuals.com launches quantum-resilient crypto custody vaults

January 27, 2026 4:00 PM EST

Perpetuals.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: PDC) announced the launch of Quantum-Resilient Crypto Vaults, a self-custody solution designed to provide enhanced security for cryptocurrency storage without requiring third-party custodians or physical hardware devices.

The technology combines what the company describes as institutional-grade security with self-custody control. The system uses a zero-access model where no third party, including Perpetuals.com, can access, manage, or freeze user assets. Private keys remain under the control of asset owners through multi-layer encryption and cryptographic signing.

The vaults incorporate quantum-resilient RSA encryption keys and quantum entropy injection through NIST-certified hardware and software integration. This feature aims to protect assets against potential future quantum computing threats to existing cryptographic systems.

The solution supports interoperability with existing wallet systems, allowing users to export Layer-1 private keys to third-party wallets. It also enables high-performance applications including margin trading and liquidity pool transfers with low latency capabilities.

Perpetuals.com has partnered with the German University of Digital Science, which plans to launch Germany's first Quantum Computing Master's Program. The collaboration provides real-world industry data to the university while supporting the company's development in crypto wallet security.

"The crypto industry has operated under a false binary: trust a custodian with your assets or accept hardware wallet limitations," said Patrick Gruhn, co-CEO of Perpetuals.com. "Our Quantum-Resilient Vault system creates a third option with institutional-grade security, true self-custody, no physical devices, and protection against quantum threats."

Perpetuals.com operates as a financial technology company that develops blockchain infrastructure and artificial intelligence solutions for digital asset trading. The company runs Kronos X, a multi-asset exchange platform designed to comply with European regulations including MiFID II, MiCA, DORA, and EMIR.
