Parsons Corporation (NYSE: PSN) announced an expansion of its suite of solutions for addressing per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) contamination, according to a company press release dated July 6, 2026.

The Chantilly, Virginia-based company said its PFAS portfolio centers on four technologies: Hot In Situ Chemical Oxidation (Hot ISCO), Catalyzed Ultraviolet PFAS Destruction, Thermal Desorption, and Aqueous Film-Forming Foam (AFFF) Cleanout services. Parsons holds patents in the U.S. and Canada for Hot ISCO, which it describes as the first in-situ destructive technology for PFAS brought to market. The UV PFAS Destruction technology is patent-pending and claims greater than 99 percent PFAS destruction under field conditions.

The company cited several recent project completions. In 2025, Parsons completed AFFF cleanout work at Denver International Airport, servicing 20 fire response vehicles with an average of 95 percent PFAS removal. At Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport, also in 2025, the company cleaned six fire response vehicles and one fixed storage tank, achieving 99 percent PFAS removal. Parsons is currently managing AFFF cleanout and remedial investigation work at Tucson International Airport.

Parsons also completed a thermal desorption project at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska, treating a 2,000 cubic yard soil stockpile funded by the U.S. Department of War and administered by the Defense Innovation Unit.

A pilot project using the UV PFAS Destruction technology on a Canadian federal site, in support of VEI Contracting, is underway with full study completion scheduled for summer 2027.

The company's AFFF Cleanout service uses PerfluorAd®, a product developed by Cornelsen Umwelttechnologie GmbH, for which Parsons holds exclusive North American distribution rights.

"Our investment in advanced PFAS technologies has positioned Parsons at the forefront of this critical environmental challenge," said Carey Smith, chair, president, and chief executive officer of Parsons.
