Palo Alto Networks launches AI-generated ad campaign

Palo Alto Networks (NASDAQ: PANW) announced the launch of an advertising campaign created entirely using artificial intelligence tools. The cybersecurity company said the AI-powered process reduced production time from nine months to one week per ad video.

The "Be A Genius. Deploy Bravely" campaign features a ten-part series of ads with historical innovators including Benjamin Franklin, Marie Curie and Leonardo da Vinci. The ads are running across business media outlets including CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Fortune, as well as on YouTube and LinkedIn.

The company used AI tools including Google Veo, Gemini and Artlist to accelerate concept creation, content generation and multi-language localization. The marketing team leveraged AI to suggest ideas, write copy and generate visuals without photoshoots, video production or external agencies.

Palo Alto Networks said the cost per AI-generated ad was less than $1,000, compared to previous campaigns that cost tens of millions of dollars to produce. The company reported a 20-fold reduction in internal employee hours compared to traditional approaches using creative agency partners.

"The AI revolution is here, and it's transforming every aspect of business, including marketing," said Kelly Waldher, Chief Marketing Officer at Palo Alto Networks. "We're embracing AI to not only tell our story but to set a new industry benchmark for speed, engagement, and efficiency."

The campaign promotes the company's Prisma AIRS AI security platform, which the company describes as designed to secure AI models, data, applications and AI agents across the AI lifecycle.
