OrthoPediatrics Corp. (NASDAQ: KIDS) announced the launch of the TRAXIO Complete Weight System, expanding its specialty bracing portfolio through a collaboration with Synetik Group, Inc.

The TRAXIO system is designed to provide controlled, weight-based axial traction for gradual spinal realignment in pediatric patients. The non-active, mechanical traction system uses a weight-and-pulley mechanism to generate and maintain prescribed traction loads to the pediatric spine in hospital environments.

The system supports halo gravity traction therapy when used with a compatible cranial halo ring and pin system, which is sold separately. TRAXIO is intended for use with infants, children, and adolescents in controlled hospital settings.

"The introduction of TRAXIO reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing pediatric scoliosis through thoughtful innovation," said Joe Hauser, OrthoPediatrics Specialty Bracing division President. "TRAXIO offers a reliable, adaptable traction system that supports patient safety while reinforcing our focus on important solutions often overlooked by others."

Greg Odle, President of Scoliosis at OrthoPediatrics, said the addition represents an expansion of the company's scoliosis platform. The company aims to pair halo gravity traction with existing deformity correction implants to serve as a partner to pediatric spine surgeons.

OrthoPediatrics, founded in 2006, focuses exclusively on pediatric orthopedics and currently markets over 85 products across trauma and deformity, scoliosis, and sports medicine categories. The company distributes products in the United States and over 75 countries.
