Newmark Group Inc. (NASDAQ: NMRK) announced its expansion into India's property and facilities management market, hiring Sathish Rajendren as Executive Managing Director to lead operations across India and the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in Bangalore, Rajendren will oversee the company's property and facilities management solutions in the region. The appointment marks Newmark's entry into what the company describes as one of the world's fastest-growing commercial real estate markets.
Rajendren brings over 22 years of experience in the property management sector. In his previous role as Senior Executive Director at Knight Frank, he managed a portfolio exceeding 350 million square feet across India. He also previously oversaw 140 million square feet of property services at Cushman & Wakefield.
"Our growth in India exemplifies our continued delivery of holistic, end-to-end solutions that create long-term value for investors and occupiers alike," said Luis Alvarado, Chief Operating Officer at Newmark.
According to the press release, office absorption in India approached 60 million square feet through the first nine months of 2025, driven by technology, financial services and global capability centers, citing government data and industry estimates.
Newmark recently unified its Property Management and Facilities Management service lines. These businesses generated approximately $1.1 billion in total revenues in 2024, including $833 million from Management Services and $274 million from Servicing Fees and Other Revenues.
The commercial real estate services company reported revenues of over $2.9 billion for the twelve months ended June 30, 2025. As of that date, Newmark operated from 165 offices with over 8,400 professionals across four continents.
