Newegg Commerce Inc. (NASDAQ: NEGG) announced an integration with PayPal's agentic commerce services to enable product discovery and purchases within AI-powered shopping environments, including Perplexity.
The partnership allows customers to discover Newegg products through AI search and conversational experiences, complete purchases using PayPal within those AI environments, and access PayPal's fraud detection and buyer protection services. Newegg maintains its role as the merchant of record for all transactions originating from AI platforms.
"AI is redefining the customer shopping journey, and over the past two years we've leveraged AI to build entirely new experiences for our customers," said Newegg CEO Anthony Chow. "PayPal is pioneering innovation in this area, and its agentic commerce services enable Newegg to participate in this new shopping experience."
Through PayPal's store sync and agent ready services, Newegg's product catalogs and order fulfillment systems will connect to AI-driven shopping platforms. When customers interact with AI agents seeking technology products, they will receive real-time recommendations that include Newegg listings.
The integration supports Newegg's broader strategy to embed AI throughout the customer journey, which includes AI-guided PC building tools, AI shopping assistants, and AI-powered question and answer features.
Newegg products will begin appearing in Perplexity and additional PayPal-enabled AI discovery channels as each integration becomes available. Customers will need to select PayPal at checkout to complete purchases through these AI platforms.
The company, founded in 2001 and based in Diamond Bar, California, operates as a global online retailer for PC hardware, consumer electronics, gaming peripherals, home appliances, and lifestyle technology products.
