MicroCloud Hologram outlines quantum computing development strategy
MicroCloud Hologram Inc. (NASDAQ: HOLO) announced a research approach for achieving quantum computing advantages through three core elements: collaborative quantum processing unit utilization, error control, and algorithm optimization.
The company outlined a strategy using circuit knitting technology to combine multiple quantum processing units, overcoming limitations of individual units in qubit count and computational capacity. The technology decomposes complex quantum circuits into sub-circuits for parallel processing across different units, with results integrated through interface technologies.
MicroCloud described error suppression and mitigation techniques to reduce computational errors under current hardware conditions. Error suppression optimizes quantum gate operations and improves qubit coherence, while error mitigation uses classical post-processing and statistical methods to correct errors after occurrence.
The company focuses on heuristic quantum algorithm versions with asymptotic speedup to solve practical problems within current quantum hardware constraints. These algorithms find near-optimal solutions within reasonable timeframes, with advantages over classical algorithms becoming more evident as problem scale increases.
MicroCloud proposed building a "quantum-centric supercomputing" architecture for seamless integration between quantum and classical processors. The architecture assigns quantum-computable portions to quantum processors and classical-computable portions to classical processors based on computing task characteristics.
The company stated that future quantum computing software requires higher automation and intelligence levels through algorithm design optimization, efficient compilation tools, and user-friendly interfaces. This approach aims to hide technical details and lower application barriers for quantum computing technology.
MicroCloud provides holographic technology services including holographic LiDAR solutions, digital twin technology, and focuses on quantum computing and quantum holography development. The company plans to invest over $400 million in technology sectors including blockchain development, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence.
