MicroAlgo develops quantum algorithm simulation technology
MicroAlgo Inc. (NASDAQ: MLGO) announced the development of a reconfigurable simulation technology for quantum algorithms, according to a company press release. The technology aims to address challenges in quantum algorithm research and application.
The company's approach centers on two simulation models: an arithmetic operation simplification model and a nuclear operation iteration model. The arithmetic operation simplification model converts quantum circuit functionality into basic arithmetic operations, using precomputation and lookup tables to accelerate results. The nuclear operation iteration model focuses on key quantum circuit operations that most significantly impact quantum state evolution.
MicroAlgo implemented the technology using reconfigurable hardware architecture that enables dynamic allocation of computing units and storage resources based on different quantum algorithm requirements. The simulator supports single-precision floating-point operations and employs a fully pipelined design to process data continuously.
The company conducted simulation experiments on quantum algorithms including Quantum Fourier Transform and quantum wavelet transform. According to MicroAlgo, the results showed improvements in resource utilization and simulation time compared to traditional methods.
Traditional quantum algorithm simulation methods typically simulate each quantum gate operation sequentially, which creates exponential growth in computational complexity and resource demands when handling large numbers of qubits. This results in low simulation efficiency and extended simulation times.
MicroAlgo, based in Shenzhen, China, develops central processing algorithms and provides solutions that integrate algorithms with software and hardware components. The company focuses on algorithm optimization, computing power acceleration, and data processing services.
