Keysight launches dual-channel analog signal generator

Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) has introduced a 20 GHz PSG XG7-class analog signal generator that combines two fully independent channels in a single 2U chassis, according to a company press release.

The instrument is designed for test environments in aerospace and defense, advanced wireless, and high-speed digital applications. Keysight says the dual-channel design allows engineering teams to expand test capacity without requiring additional rack space.

The generator delivers phase noise of -135 dBc/Hz and amplitude modulation noise of -150 dBc/Hz, both measured at 10 GHz with a 10 kHz offset, along with a broadband noise floor of -166 dBc/Hz at 10 GHz. Calibrated output power reaches up to +22 dBm, which the company says helps maintain signal levels through cables and test fixtures.

The product uses a hybrid architecture with software mode switching and supports Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments (SCPI), allowing compatibility with existing automation and test procedures.
