Jacobs wins Oklahoma City wastewater O&M contract

Jacobs (NYSE: J) has been awarded a five-and-a-half-year contract by the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust (OCWUT) to provide operations and maintenance services for the city's wastewater facilities and solids management program, according to a company press release.

Under the contract, Jacobs will operate and maintain four wastewater treatment facilities with a combined treatment capacity of more than 110 million gallons per day, along with a regional pump station. The scope includes biosolids disposal and septage receiving services. The arrangement covers wastewater services for Oklahoma City and six neighboring communities.

Jacobs Senior Vice President Alberto Lazaro said: "By integrating operational insight, asset management and digital capabilities, we'll support reliable day-to-day performance, while helping OCWUT prioritize investment, strengthen regulatory compliance and manage its infrastructure for the long-term."

OCWUT General Manager and Utilities Department Director Chris Browning said: "Jacobs has been a trusted partner to Oklahoma City Utilities for many years, and we look forward to continuing that relationship as we plan for the future of our wastewater system."

Jacobs said it will implement enhanced maintenance practices and data-informed planning to support asset reliability and inform OCWUT's capital improvement priorities. The contract adds to Jacobs' existing water and wastewater operations and maintenance portfolio, which includes projects in Duncan and other Oklahoma communities, Jackson, Mississippi, several Texas cities, Wilmington, Delaware, The Villages, Florida, and Southern California.
