Integra Resources Corp. (NYSE American: ITRG) announced it has entered into a relationship agreement with the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes of the Duck Valley Indian Reservation for the development of the DeLamar gold and silver mining project in southwest Idaho.
The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration throughout the mine's entire operational life. The partnership covers indigenous recognition, economic participation, cultural and environmental protection, regulatory collaboration, and community investment monitoring.
Brian Mason, Chairman of the Shoshone-Paiute Tribes, stated the agreement is "the first-of-its-kind in the Lower 48 States" and provides the tribe "a seat at the table to help direct how things happen in our territory."
The DeLamar Project comprises historic deposits in Owyhee County that were previously operated by Kinross Gold Corporation until 1998. Integra has invested approximately $140 million in the project since acquiring it in 2017, according to the press release.
In March 2025, Integra submitted the Mine Plan of Operations to the United States Bureau of Land Management, initiating the pathway for an Environmental Impact Statement evaluation under the National Environmental Policy Act.
George Salamis, Integra's President and CEO, described the partnership as establishing "durable and long-term predictability" while providing economic opportunities for the region.
The agreement resulted from five years of collaboration between the parties. Integra operates the Florida Canyon Mine in Nevada and is developing the Nevada North Project in addition to DeLamar.
