Hyperscale Data begins production of first 30 humanoid robots
Hyperscale Data Inc. (NYSE American: GPUS) announced that production has started on the first 30 OPR-R2 humanoid robots through its subsidiary Omnipresent Robotics. The company expects to receive components and begin assembling the robots for deployment at its Michigan AI data center campus in the third quarter of 2026.
The initial production represents the first phase of a broader plan involving 143 OPR-R2 humanoid robots scheduled for deployment throughout the Michigan facility. The robots will operate from a planned 100,000-square-foot Robotics Research, Testing and Innovation Center.
The first 30 robots will be assigned to Omnipresent Robotics' Model Training Laboratory, where they will work alongside AI infrastructure personnel and data center employees. Their functions will include data collection, model training, simulation validation, facility operations, and development of AI systems.
The laboratory is being designed to support training, testing, and validation of foundation models and AI systems, including large language models, vision-language-action models, and robotics foundation models. The facility will leverage NVIDIA-based infrastructure to support simulation, training, inference, and robotics workloads.
"We believe that physical AI is an incredibly important aspect in the future of artificial intelligence," said Milton "Todd" Ault III, Executive Chairman of Hyperscale Data. "While today's leading AI models excel at reasoning, language, and content generation, tomorrow's AI systems must be capable of understanding and interacting with the physical world."
As additional robots are produced and deployed, Hyperscale Data expects to expand robotics activities across research, testing, training, logistics, facility operations, customer demonstrations, and commercial application development. The company operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Sentinum, Inc., which owns and operates a data center for digital asset mining and AI ecosystem services.
