HubSpot (NYSE: HUBS) announced the introduction of the Loop, a marketing framework designed to address changes in customer behavior driven by artificial intelligence tools. The company stated that 60% of Google searches now end without users clicking through to websites, as AI systems provide answers directly in search results.
The Loop consists of four stages: Express, Tailor, Amplify, and Evolve. The Express stage involves defining brand identity before implementing AI tools. The Tailor stage uses AI to personalize messaging at scale using customer data. The Amplify stage distributes content across multiple channels where customers are active. The Evolve stage focuses on rapid iteration using AI-powered measurement and adaptation.
"The old funnel assumed customers would come to you. They visit your website, read your blog, and convert on your terms. But when 60% of searches never leave Google and AI is answering questions before prospects even click, that playbook is broken," said Kipp Bodnar, Chief Marketing Officer at HubSpot.
HubSpot plans to support the Loop approach through existing and new tools including Breeze Assistant, Marketing Studio, Smart CRM, Data Hub, and an AI Engine Optimization Strategy tool. Several features mentioned are currently in beta testing, according to the company's statement.
The framework represents an evolution from HubSpot's original Inbound Marketing methodology, which the company developed for attracting customers through content and search engine optimization. The Loop approach is designed to reach customers across platforms including social media, podcasts, and AI-powered search results.
