Greenidge Generation resumes operations after electrical fire

Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: GREE) announced that its Dresden, New York power generation facility resumed normal operations on December 9, 2025, following an electrical switchgear failure and fire that occurred on November 23, 2025.
The incident resulted in the immediate and complete shutdown of the facility through automated safety protocols. The fire was contained and caused limited damage to certain electrical switchgear, according to the company's statement.
The facility's Bitcoin mining operations were not damaged during the incident. The company said its employees, local firefighters, and utility partners responded promptly to contain the situation.
The Dresden facility returned to service approximately two weeks after the incident and has resumed delivering power to the local grid. The company had previously disclosed the incident in a Form 8-K filing on November 26, 2025.
Greenidge Generation LLC, which owns the facility, operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc.
