Franklin Street Properties continues strategic review process

Franklin Street Properties Corp. (NYSE American: FSP) provided an update on its ongoing review of strategic alternatives, which began in May 2025. The company's Board of Directors initiated the review to explore ways to maximize shareholder value.
The review includes potential options such as a sale of the company, asset sales, and refinancing of existing debt. BofA Securities serves as the company's financial advisor for the process.
Chairman and CEO George J. Carter stated that FSP remains in active negotiations with a potential lender to refinance all existing debt before the current maturity date. The company indicated it will provide market updates when appropriate.
Franklin Street Properties previously announced the strategic review in May 2025 and provided an initial update in November 2025. The company noted that no assurances can be given regarding the outcome or timeline for completion of either the proposed refinancing transaction or the strategic review process.
Based in Wakefield, Massachusetts, Franklin Street Properties focuses on office properties in infill and central business district locations in the U.S. Sunbelt and Mountain West regions, as well as select opportunistic markets. The company operates as a real estate investment trust.
