Digi International launches EX60 enterprise 5G router

Digi International (NASDAQ: DGII) announced the launch of the Digi EX60, an indoor enterprise 5G router designed for branch offices, retail locations and distributed enterprises, available beginning October 6, 2026.

The device combines a router, switch, Wi-Fi 7 access point, 5G modem and eSIM in a single unit. It supports 5G as a primary broadband connection or as automatic failover for an existing wired link. The router uses Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) technology, which keeps a secondary cellular connection active in the background, enabling failover the company claims is up to 10 times faster than traditional approaches.

The EX60 is built on 3GPP Release 17 5G enhanced mobile broadband and includes a 2.5 GbE WAN port. It supports AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile networks at launch. Additional failover options include wired connectivity and low Earth orbit satellite.

The device is managed through Digi Remote Manager, which provides centralized visibility across multiple locations. The platform includes a Model Context Protocol server that allows IT teams to connect an AI assistant for fleet-wide monitoring and automation. Digi also offers its own AI agent, called Digi Artificial Network Intelligence (DANI), as an optional value-added service.

"Whether a site runs 5G as its main connection or as fast failover for broadband, Digi EX60 does it in one box," said Tony Puopolo, President of Digi Managed Solutions.

The EX60 is sold as model EX60-5B-1N through Digi's global sales channels and authorized partners as part of the Digi 360 subscription, which bundles hardware, software, a limited lifetime warranty and 24/7 support. The product joins the company's 2026 cellular portfolio alongside the Digi IX25 industrial router and the Digi TX65 transportation router.
