Cryo-Cell suspends quarterly dividend citing lower profitability

Cryo-Cell International, Inc. (NYSE American: CCEL) announced it will not declare a quarterly cash dividend for the third quarter of fiscal 2025, citing lower-than-expected profitability.
The cord blood banking company stated that future dividend decisions will depend on financial performance, capital requirements, and strategic priorities. The company indicated it may or may not reinstate dividends in future periods.
Founded in 1989, Cryo-Cell operates as a private cord blood bank and has stored stem cells for more than 500,000 parents from 87 countries. The company also runs a public banking program in partnership with Duke University and launched ExtraVault in March 2022 to provide biostorage and distribution services to biopharmaceutical companies and healthcare institutions.
