Cryo-Cell receives NYSE American compliance plan acceptance

May 8, 2026 4:00 PM EDT

Cryo-Cell International Inc. (NYSE American: CCEL) announced that NYSE American has accepted the company's compliance plan to address listing standard deficiencies.

The cord blood banking company was notified in March that it failed to meet Section 1003(a) of the NYSE American Company Guide due to stockholders' deficit as of November 30, 2025, and net losses in two of its three most recent fiscal years ending November 30, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

NYSE Regulation reviewed and accepted Cryo-Cell's plan submitted on April 8, 2026, granting a compliance period through September 9, 2027. The company's common stock will continue trading on NYSE American during this period, subject to ongoing review and adherence to the plan's initiatives.

The company stated there is no assurance it will regain compliance by the deadline. Failure to meet the September 2027 deadline or make progress consistent with the accepted plan could result in NYSE American initiating delisting proceedings.

Founded in 1989, Cryo-Cell describes itself as the world's first private cord blood bank and stores more than 250,000 cord blood and cord tissue specimens. The company operates both private banking services and a public banking program in partnership with Duke University.
