Cloudastructure Inc. (NASDAQ: CSAI) announced the launch of MotionGi, a video processing technology for its Cloud Video Recorders that reduces bandwidth requirements and lowers CPU utilization. The technology eliminates the need for transcoding and enables customers to support more cameras per unit.
According to the company's press release, early field tests showed MotionGi reduced bandwidth consumption by up to 50% while delivering sharper video and ensuring uninterrupted motion capture. The technology is designed to lower deployment costs and simplify site operations for customers using the company's video surveillance systems.
The rollout incorporates technologies including the NVIDIA Jetson Orin processor. Cloudastructure stated the technology establishes a foundation for future enhancements such as edge-based computer vision and faster event response times.
"MotionGi not only elevates video quality and system performance today, it redefines what's possible for the future of security technology," said CEO James McCormick. "By dramatically reducing bandwidth and CPU requirements, we are empowering customers to scale faster, deploy more cost-effectively, and achieve greater reliability across their operations."
Cloudastructure operates a cloud-based security platform that combines video surveillance with AI analytics and remote guarding services. The Palo Alto, California-based company serves enterprise businesses with its surveillance technology and security solutions.
