CGI (NYSE: GIB) announced it has achieved two Databricks Brickbuilder Specializations — one in Public Sector and one in Generative AI — according to a press release issued July 20, 2026.
The Databricks Brickbuilder Specialization Program recognizes partners with validated customer outcomes, certified technical expertise and proven delivery accelerators. CGI's Public Sector Specialization acknowledges its experience helping government organizations modernize mission-critical environments while meeting security and compliance requirements. The Generative AI Specialization recognizes CGI's ability to design, build and operationalize enterprise generative AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation, model fine-tuning and AI agents.
CGI cited two client examples using the Databricks platform. For a telecommunications company, a GenAI-powered framework accelerated AI model deployment by a factor of four, reduced manual quality assurance by approximately 80%, improved production accuracy by 10% and expanded evaluation coverage tenfold. For an energy and utilities provider, AI-powered knowledge assistants reduced document search time by 85%.
"Achieving the Databricks Brickbuilder Public Sector and GenAI Specializations reflects CGI's experience helping clients move beyond AI pilots to enterprise-scale deployment," said Wes Carberry, Senior Vice-President and Databricks Global Executive Sponsor at CGI.
Amit Singh, Global Head of Partner GTM, AI at Databricks, said the specialization "recognizes CGI's experience helping organizations modernize data environments and operationalize AI on the Databricks platform."
The new specializations follow CGI's previously announced Gold tier partner status with Databricks. CGI, founded in 1976, reported fiscal 2025 revenue of CA$15.91 billion and employs approximately 94,000 consultants and professionals globally.
