Brightstar Lottery extends Washington contract through 2036

Brightstar Lottery PLC (NYSE: BRSL) announced that its subsidiary, Brightstar Global Solutions Corporation, has signed a seven-year contract extension with Washington's Lottery, extending the company's relationship with the state through June 30, 2036.

Under the agreement, Brightstar will upgrade Washington's Lottery central gaming system and deploy thousands of new terminals and self-service vending machines to lottery retailers across the state. Brightstar has served as the primary lottery technology supplier to Washington's Lottery since 1996.

Key deliverables include 2,200 GameTouch28 self-service vending machines featuring a 42-inch touch display and 28 ticket bins, 100 GameTouch20 compact vending machines, and 3,700 Pro S2 lottery terminals along with ticket checkers and player-facing digital marketing displays. The central gaming system will also be upgraded to Brightstar's newest commercially available platform.

Washington's Lottery Director Brian Bennett said the two organizations have worked together for 30 years and that the lottery looks forward to deploying Brightstar's latest technology over the next ten years.

Scott Gunn, Brightstar's Chief Operating Officer for North America Lottery, said the company is "proud to continue our three-decade partnership with Washington's Lottery" and that the new solutions will support funds raised by the lottery for educational and other causes across Washington.

According to the press release, Brightstar serves nearly 90 lottery customers across six continents and is the primary technology provider to 26 of the 46 lottery jurisdictions in the United States.
