Beneficient (NASDAQ: BENF) completed the repayment of approximately $27.5 million in loans to a Texas state bank, satisfying 100% of the outstanding principal amounts, the company announced Monday.

The Dallas-based alternative assets platform repaid the debt approximately ten months ahead of the original maturity date. A subsidiary of the company initially borrowed the funds in October 2023 under a credit agreement with HH-BDH LLC and the lending bank.

The company still owes approximately $1.66 million to Hicks Holdings for deferred interest and fees, which it plans to pay over time on mutually agreed terms. All obligations to the Texas bank have been satisfied through the early repayment.

"Completing the repayment of this indebtedness well in advance of its scheduled maturity is an important milestone for Beneficient," said James Silk, interim chief executive officer. "This achievement underscores our objective to maintain a disciplined approach to capital management and positions us to focus on executing our strategic priorities and creating long-term value for our shareholders."

Beneficient operates a technology-enabled platform that provides exit opportunities and primary capital solutions to holders of alternative assets. The company's subsidiary, Beneficient Fiduciary Financial, holds a charter under Kansas' Technology-Enabled Fiduciary Financial Institution Act and operates under regulatory oversight by the Office of the State Bank Commissioner.

The information is based on a company press release.
